Overview
Jack Walsh is a burned-out skip tracer hired to drag Jonathan Mardukas, a mild-mannered mob bookkeeper, from New York back to Los Angeles. Simple enough, except the FBI wants Mardukas for testimony, a ruthless crime boss wants him dead, and a rival bounty hunter wants the fee. What follows is a cross-country chase full of wrong trains, bad motels, and two men who despise each other discovering, against all better judgment, that they actually get along.
