This policy explains the standards Movievia applies to editorial lists, recommendations, title information, automated content and corrections.
Editorial responsibility
The Movievia Editorial Team is responsible for what appears on Movievia. That responsibility includes selecting and ordering editorial lists, maintaining publishing standards, reviewing reported problems and deciding when content should be corrected, updated or removed.
Accuracy and verification
Movievia aims to publish information that is accurate, clearly presented and appropriate to the purpose of each page. Dates, credits, genres, runtimes, ratings and other structured facts may be checked against TMDB, official sources or other reputable public references.
Movie and television information can change. Release plans move, streaming rights expire and databases are corrected. When information is uncertain or time-sensitive, Movievia should avoid presenting it as permanently settled.
Sources and attribution
Movievia distinguishes between its editorial work and third-party data. Core catalog information and imagery may come from TMDB. Aggregate ratings are third-party audience signals unless a page explicitly labels them otherwise. External quotations, distinctive reporting and proprietary claims should be attributed to their original source.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Lists, recommendations and opinions
Ranked lists and “best” recommendations involve editorial judgment. Movievia considers relevance, viewing experience, quality, reception and usefulness to the reader, as described in the Movievia methodology. An editorial ranking is not presented as an objective fact.
Movievia should not add an unrelated title simply because it is popular, newly released or commercially attractive. The title must fit the page’s stated purpose.
Automation and AI-assisted content
Movievia uses automated pipelines to create and maintain parts of its movie and television database. AI-assisted tools may be used to draft, rewrite, summarize or standardize descriptive text. Some catalog pages can be published or refreshed automatically after technical validation.
Movievia does not treat an AI system as an author, source or accountable editor. The Movievia Editorial Team remains responsible for the publishing rules, correction process and continued use of automated output. Editorial list concepts and their deliberately arranged rankings are controlled separately from automated catalog updates.
Automated text should not invent viewing experiences, production facts, quotations or consensus. If an automated description conflicts with verified title data, the verified information takes priority and the description should be corrected.
Corrections
Readers can report factual errors through the contact page. A useful report includes the affected URL, the disputed statement and, where possible, a reliable supporting source.
Movievia will aim to:
- review specific, verifiable correction requests;
- correct material factual errors promptly after verification;
- update time-sensitive availability or release information when practical;
- avoid silently preserving information known to be false.
Minor spelling, formatting and clarity edits may be made without a separate correction notice. A substantial change to the meaning of an editorial page should also update the page’s modification date.
Advertising, affiliates and sponsored material
Movievia may display advertising or use commercial links. Advertising does not grant an advertiser control over factual information or independent editorial rankings. Sponsored, partner or affiliate material should be clearly disclosed in a way readers can understand before acting on the recommendation.
Paid placement should not be presented as an independent “best” ranking. Complimentary access or another material relationship that could reasonably affect a recommendation should be disclosed.
Conflicts of interest
Contributors and editors should avoid undisclosed personal or financial interests that could materially influence coverage. When a relevant conflict cannot reasonably be avoided, it should be disclosed or the affected person should not control the editorial decision.
Respectful and lawful publishing
Movievia aims to discuss films, television and creators without harassment, discrimination or fabricated allegations. Mature themes can be described when relevant to a title, but descriptions should serve the reader and avoid unnecessary sensationalism.
Copyrighted material should be used only with permission, under an applicable license or within a legally permitted context. Requests concerning rights or removal can be submitted through the contact page.
Policy updates
This policy may be revised as Movievia’s publishing tools, content formats and responsibilities change. The date below reflects the latest published version.
