Overview
When a senator is shot dead at the top of Seattle's Space Needle, most witnesses quietly disappear in the months that follow. One stubborn journalist refuses to let the story die, and his digging leads him toward the Parallax Corporation, a shadowy outfit that seems to recruit killers the way other firms recruit accountants. Alan J. Pakula shoots paranoia like a physical presence, turning ordinary American spaces into something deeply, quietly menacing.
