Overview
John River is a brilliant detective who happens to be haunted, literally, by the dead. When his partner is killed, River finds himself unraveling on the job, pursued by visions he cannot shake and superiors who question his fitness for duty. Set against a rain-soaked London, the BBC series follows River as he tries to honor a promise made to the grieving mother of a murdered teenager, even as his own grip on reality grows increasingly fragile.
