Matt Owens is an American writer, producer and showrunner born the February 14, 1989 in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. He wrote the Luke Cage episodes “Who’s Gonna Take the Weight?” and “Wig Out” and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episodes “Let Me Stand Next to Your Fire,” “The Man Behind the Shield,” “Together or Not at All,” and “The Devil Complex.” He also co-wrote the Luke Cage episode “For Pete’s Sake.” He was also a story editor of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episodes “Meet the New Boss” and “Uprising.” Owens has also written several comics for Star Wars and Marvel.
