Overview
Viktor Navorski lands at JFK with a suitcase and simple plans, only to discover that a coup back home has rendered his passport invalid and his country unrecognized by the United States. Neither allowed in nor permitted to leave, he does the only thing he can: he makes the airport his home. Steven Spielberg's 2004 film follows Viktor as he builds a life among the shops, food courts, and terminal gates, finding warmth and connection in the most impersonal of places.
