Overview
Under Roman occupation, Judea is a land held together by fear. Jewish high priest Caiaphas walks a careful line, managing his people to avoid provoking the brutal authority of governor Pontius Pilate. Then Jesus enters Jerusalem, healing the sick, drawing crowds, and preaching a radical vision of love that neither Rome nor the temple establishment can afford to ignore. His growing influence reads as sedition to those in power, and the machinery of execution begins to turn.
