Overview
The stars went out without warning. The planets followed. What remains of humanity clings to rusting stations and drifting ships, calling the extinction event The Quiet Rapture. Now the Consolidation of Iron has found something on a dead moon called AT-5: an ocean, vast and red, that bleeds rather than shimmers. Desperate for any resource that might sustain a dying civilization, they build a submarine and seal a convict inside it, viewport welded shut so the pilot cannot see what surrounds them. Freedom waits at the far end, if they survive. Twelve others were sent before. None came back. The thirteenth descent is about to begin.
