Overview
Secret Service agent Richard Chance has never been much for playing by the rules, but when a partner is gunned down, restraint disappears entirely. His target is Eric Masters, a brilliant and brutal counterfeiter operating deep in the Los Angeles underworld. William Friedkin shoots the city as a neon-lit moral wasteland, and Chance's pursuit grows so reckless it becomes almost indistinguishable from the criminal behavior he is chasing. The line between justice and obsession dissolves fast here.
