Overview
A group of young Texans making a sentimental trip to an old family burial site take a wrong turn into something far beyond their comprehension. The farmhouse they stumble upon looks abandoned. It is not. Inside, a family of a very different kind has made its home, and one member in particular has a loud, fuel-powered way of dealing with strangers. Tobe Hooper's 1974 landmark redefined what horror could do to an audience, and fifty years on, the sweat and dread still feel completely real.
