Overview
Frederick Frankenstein wants nothing to do with his family's notorious legacy. A respected neurosurgeon who winces at the mere mention of his grandfather's name, he inherits a crumbling Transylvanian castle and plans a quick exit. Then he finds the old lab, the crumbling notebooks, and a hunchbacked assistant named Igor who insists it's pronounced 'Eye-gor.' Mel Brooks directs this sharp, affectionate parody of classic Universal horror, where the monster tap-dances and science has never looked quite so ridiculous.
