Overview
Max Renn runs a sleazy cable channel always hunting for content that pushes further than anyone else dares. When he stumbles onto a pirate broadcast called Videodrome, a signal devoted entirely to visceral torture with no plot and no mercy, he smells a ratings opportunity. But after his girlfriend disappears into the show's orbit, Max starts pulling at threads that unravel his grip on reality itself. Cronenberg's 1983 provocation asks whether the screen shapes the flesh, and answers in deeply unsettling ways.
