Overview
Somewhere in Orson, Indiana, Frankie Heck is holding everything together with duct tape and sheer stubbornness. Her husband is well-meaning but checked out, her oldest son is painfully awkward, her daughter is aggressively quirky, and her youngest speaks mostly to himself. Week after week, the family lurches from one small disaster to the next, never quite catching up. It is unglamorous, exhausting, and bracingly honest about what ordinary American family life actually looks like.
