Overview
Three households, one sprawling extended family, and absolutely no shortage of people who think they know best. Jay Pritchett anchors the whole operation, a gruff patriarch connected by blood and marriage to his daughter's chaotic suburban brood and his Colombian wife's teenage stepson. Each branch of the family tree has its own specific brand of dysfunction, and the show finds genuine warmth in watching all of them collide, embarrass each other, and somehow muddle through.
