Overview
A grieving widower's obsession with his lost wife drives him to develop surveillance technology that lets the living watch their dead. When graves begin ransacked including hers, he descends into a murky investigation that blurs the line between mourning and madness. David Cronenberg explores whether some knowledge is worth the price it demands, using funereal imagery and body horror to ask uncomfortable questions about love, control, and letting go.
