Overview
A frustrated Black novelist, exhausted by the literary industry's appetite for reductive narratives, decides to give them exactly what they want. Writing under an assumed name, he crafts a deliberately inflammatory manuscript that becomes a runaway success, forcing him to confront the uncomfortable truth that he's now complicit in the very machinery he despises. His experiment in cynicism becomes a mirror held up to everyone involved.
