Overview
The desert planet Arrakis holds the only supply of spice, a substance so valuable that empires rise and fall over its sands. When the noble House Atreides is handed control of its harvest, young Paul finds himself at the center of a centuries-old prophecy he never asked to inherit. Denis Villeneuve's adaptation of Frank Herbert's foundational novel is patient and enormous, treating its mythology with the seriousness of ancient scripture and its landscapes like characters in their own right.
