Overview
Before the suits were tailored and the quips were perfected, there was a rougher, hungrier version of James Bond earning his license to kill. His first major assignment sends him to a high-stakes poker table in Montenegro, where a terrorist financier named Le Chiffre plans to gamble his way back to solvency. What follows is less a spy fantasy than a study in how a man learns to be dangerous, and what that costs him.
