Overview
New York, 1911. When his dance partner walks out on him the day before Easter, showman Don Hewes makes a rash promise: he'll turn the very next girl he finds into a star. That girl is Hannah Brown, whose raw talent he nearly overlooks in his bruised pride. Fueled by Irving Berlin's irresistible songbook and anchored by Fred Astaire and Judy Garland at their most charming, the film is a warm, witty celebration of second chances.
