Overview
John Boorman's lush, operatic retelling of the Arthurian legend follows a young king who draws a mythic sword from stone and builds a fellowship of knights around a dream of justice. But Arthur is a man as much as a symbol, undone by desire and betrayal as readily as any mortal. The search for the Holy Grail scatters his brotherhood, and a darker power waits at the edges of Camelot, patient and inevitable.
