Overview
Released from prison with redemption on his mind, Corey crosses paths with Vogel, a dangerous fugitive with nothing left to lose. Together with Jansen, a disgraced cop drowning in alcohol, they conceive an audacious jewel theft. But Police Commissioner Mattei, haunted by Vogel's escape, pursues them with methodical obsession. Melville's geometric thriller becomes a meditation on men bound by circumstance, each player locked in an inexorable spiral toward collision.
