Overview
Desperation has a way of blurring moral lines, and for one impoverished Thai woman, survival takes a grotesque turn when she opens a small roadside restaurant. Business is good. The secret ingredient is worse. Director Tiwa Moeithaisong uses the food service setting to build something genuinely unsettling, layering economic anxiety and fractured memory beneath the gore. The result is a slow-burn examination of hunger in every sense, culminating in sequences that are difficult to shake.
