Overview
Grief makes people vulnerable. When Kate and John Coleman lose their newborn, they fill the void with Esther, a withdrawn nine-year-old from a local orphanage. Quiet and pale, she seems to need them as much as they need her. But small moments accumulate into unsettling patterns, and Kate begins to suspect their new daughter harbors something far darker beneath her composed exterior. The horror isn't in jump scares but in the slow realization that they may have invited danger into their home.
