Overview
Pat Pemberton can beat anyone on the golf course, unless her overbearing fiancé shows up to watch. His presence turns her into a different person, and he seems to prefer it that way. Refusing to walk away from her athletic career, Pat signs with Mike Conovan, a sports promoter whose ethics are, at best, flexible. What follows involves mob pressure, a possessive boxer, and two people slowly realizing they might be exactly what the other needs.
