Overview
When a SETI research program decodes an alien transmission carrying genetic blueprints, scientists splice the extraterrestrial sequence into human DNA and create Sil, a being of startling beauty and terrifying instinct. She escapes containment almost immediately, driven by an overwhelming biological urge to reproduce. A hastily assembled team of soldiers, scientists, and a government fixer races to track her down before she finds a mate. The catch: she is faster, stronger, and far more motivated than anyone hunting her.
