Overview
Three film students head into the forests outside Burkittsville, Maryland, cameras in hand, to document the local legend of the Blair Witch. They never come back. What survives is the footage they shot, recovered a year later, and assembled into a record of their final days. Shot with handheld cameras and a suffocating sense of dread, the film redefined what low-budget horror could achieve by keeping the monster permanently out of frame.
