Overview
Father Sang-hyun enters a medical trial hoping to help develop a cure for a lethal virus. The experiment kills him. A mysterious transfusion pulls him back, but whoever he is now carries an appetite that no seminary training prepared him for. Blood becomes a craving he cannot suppress, and the situation grows more complicated when he falls for Tae-ju, the unhappy wife of a childhood friend. Park Chan-wook uses the vampire myth not for horror spectacle but as a pressure test on faith, desire, and moral collapse, building a film that is as wickedly funny as it is genuinely unsettling, right up to its extraordinary final scene.
