Overview
Andy Millman has been lurking in the background of other people's careers for five years, convinced that stardom is perpetually one audition away. Without a single speaking line to his name, he still haunts film sets alongside genuine celebrities, watching the famous do famous things and telling himself he belongs among them. Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's sharp, cringe-heavy comedy finds its richest material in that gap between ambition and reality, and in Andy's stubborn refusal to notice it.
