Overview
Feudal Japan, 1600. Lord Yoshii Toranaga finds himself cornered, with the Council of Regents closing ranks against him and civil war gathering on the horizon. Then a stranded European vessel washes up near a fishing village, and the stranger aboard it becomes an unexpected variable in a lethal political chess match.
