Overview
Doug Heffernan had it pretty good: a steady job driving for IPS, a loving wife in Carrie, and a Queens row house that was finally starting to feel like his own. Then Arthur Spooner showed up. Carrie's newly widowed father moves into the basement, and suddenly Doug's quiet suburban comfort zone is invaded by one magnificently difficult old man. The show mines its best comedy from that friction, the gap between the life Doug imagined and the one he actually gets.
