Overview
Will McAvoy is a cable news anchor who has spent years playing it safe, giving no offense and making no enemies. When a sharp-tongued new executive producer arrives, she pushes him toward something harder and riskier: actual journalism. Set against real political events, Aaron Sorkin's drama follows the staff of the fictional Atlantis Cable News as they wrestle with ratings pressure, corporate influence, romantic complications, and the stubborn, romantic belief that broadcasting the truth still matters.
