Overview
When a dismembered corpse washes ashore in a remote Icelandic fishing town, the local police chief finds himself with a murder investigation he is woefully unprepared for. A brutal snowstorm then seals the community off from outside help, trapping residents and suspects alike behind walls of ice and wind. What follows is a slow, pressurized study of secrets in small places, where everyone knows everyone and the cold makes it impossible to run.
