Overview
Nineteen-fifties Los Angeles glitters on the surface and rots underneath, and three LAPD detectives embody that contradiction completely. One chases headlines, one follows the rulebook, and one settles scores with his fists. When a late-night massacre at a coffee shop pulls all three into the same investigation, their rivalries become as dangerous as the case itself. Curtis Hanson's adaptation of James Ellroy's novel is a slow-burn procedural about power, corruption, and the price of integrity in a city built on neither.
