Overview
Britain's intelligence service has a quiet solution for agents who have embarrassed the organisation, botched an operation, or simply become inconvenient: banish them to Slough House, a grey bureaucratic purgatory where careers go to decompose. Running this forgotten outpost is Jackson Lamb, a brilliant, infuriating, deliberately repellent spymaster who eats badly and drinks worse. His team of misfits and washouts would love nothing more than to be forgotten entirely, except that real threats keep finding their way to their door. Based on Mick Herron's acclaimed novels, the series is sharp, darkly funny, and more interested in institutional failure than heroic fantasy.
