Overview
Adrian Monk was San Francisco's sharpest detective until grief broke him open. The murder of his wife Trudy was never solved, and the trauma left him with obsessive-compulsive disorder so severe that ordinary life became a daily obstacle course. Forced off the force but unable to stop noticing things others miss, he works as a police consultant, solving cases through a mind that catalogs every detail, no matter how small or inconvenient.
