Overview
Charley Brewster has a problem that nobody at school will take seriously: the guy who just moved in next door is almost certainly an immortal predator with a body count. With his mom already charmed and his friends dismissing him as paranoid, Charley turns to the only person he can think of, Peter Vincent, a Las Vegas stage magician whose vampire-hunter persona turns out to be mostly costume and bluster. The 2011 remake of the 1985 cult horror comedy leans into its suburban Nevada setting and finds genuine menace in Colin Farrell's loose, unhurried performance as the neighbor, a creature who has learned that patience is its own kind of weapon.
