Overview
Before Venus and Serena Williams conquered every court in the world, there was their father with a handwritten plan and an unshakeable belief that his daughters were destined for greatness. Will Smith plays Richard Williams, a self-taught coach from Compton whose vision for his girls bordered on obsession, and whose methods clashed with nearly everyone around him. The film examines what it costs a family when one person's dream becomes the blueprint for everyone else's life.
