Overview
Nicholas Van Orton has spent decades accumulating wealth and pushing people away, and his birthday gift from his wayward brother turns out to be the most unsettling thing money can buy: enrollment in a mysterious, personalized game with no visible boundaries. What begins as a curiosity quickly bleeds into paranoia, as Nicholas can no longer tell who is playing him and what, if anything, is real. David Fincher orchestrates the dread with surgical precision.
