Overview
Ray Gibson and Claude Banks could not be more different, yet fate fuses them together in the worst possible way. Wrongfully convicted of murder in 1930s Mississippi, the two men are handed life sentences and dumped into a Southern prison with no hope of release. What follows spans decades, tracking a friendship forged under brutal circumstances, equal parts funny and quietly devastating. Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence find unexpected chemistry in a story about surviving injustice without losing yourself.
