Overview
Chicago, 1929. Two down-on-their-luck musicians accidentally witness a gangland massacre and suddenly need to disappear, fast. Their solution: wigs, dresses, and spots in an all-female jazz band heading to Florida. What follows is one of Hollywood's sharpest comedies, built on mistaken identities, romantic misunderstandings, and the inspired chaos of two men desperately trying to hold their disguises together while one of them falls helplessly for the band's radiant, oblivious singer.
