Overview
Lt. Daniel Kaffee coasts through his military law career on charm and plea deals, so nobody expects much when he's handed a murder case involving two Marines at Guantanamo Bay. But the deeper he and co-counsel JoAnne Galloway dig, the clearer it becomes that the real defendant isn't in the courtroom. It's the culture of blind obedience itself, embodied by a commanding officer who believes the rules simply do not apply to men like him.
