Overview
NASA told the public that Apollo 17 closed the book on lunar exploration. What it never disclosed was the classified 1973 mission that followed, financed by the Department of Defense and kept buried for decades. The found-footage conceit here is the film's engine: grainy 16mm images of two astronauts on the lunar surface, discovering something the government desperately wanted no one to see. The footage, we're told, is real. The silence from NASA, the film argues, speaks for itself.
