Overview
Mark Ruffalo plays a corporate lawyer who stumbles onto evidence linking mysterious illnesses in a small West Virginia town to DuPont, a chemical giant. What begins as a routine investigation becomes an obsessive crusade against a corporation with virtually unlimited resources. As he digs deeper, the personal costs mount: his firm abandons him, his marriage strains, and powerful interests work to silence him. Todd Haynes directs this methodical examination of how ordinary people challenge institutional corruption.
