Overview
A country estate in the English countryside, a weekend shooting party, and a cast of aristocrats, hangers-on, and below-stairs servants who know far more than their employers imagine. Robert Altman's ensemble piece peels back the careful manners of the British upper class one cutting glance at a time, until a body turns up and suddenly everyone has something to hide. The real mystery, though, is never quite who did it, but why any of them put up with each other at all.
