Overview
When his baby sister arrives, four-year-old Kun finds himself displaced and resentful, haunting the corridors of his family's strange, sprawling house. There he encounters figures from his family's past: ancestors, relatives, and the house itself seems to breathe with history. These meetings become a slow education in kinship and patience, teaching Kun what it means to grow into an older sibling. Director Mamoru Hosoda crafts a tender meditation on how we come to understand our place within family time.
