Overview
Shaun Brumder has one goal: escape the sun-bleached chaos of Orange County and land at Stanford, where he can finally become the writer he knows he is. But when a catastrophically incompetent guidance counselor submits the wrong paperwork, that plan falls apart fast. What follows is a frantic, frequently absurd scramble involving his pill-popping mother, his burnout brother, and a string of disasters that make home feel even more inescapable than he ever imagined.
