Overview
When three men break into her Manhattan brownstone on her very first night there, recently divorced Meg Altman grabs her daughter and locks them both inside the one room designed to keep intruders out. The problem is that whatever the men came for is locked inside that same room with them. David Fincher turns a single house into a pressure cooker, squeezing genuine dread from architecture, darkness, and the terrible arithmetic of desperation on both sides of the door.
