Overview
South Boston's Irish mob and the state police are playing the same game without knowing it. Each organization has planted a man deep inside the other, and as both moles climb higher, the walls start closing in. Martin Scorsese orchestrates the deception across a sprawling ensemble, with Jack Nicholson's crime boss pulling strings while Matt Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio slowly realize their cover stories are unraveling from opposite ends of the same lie.
