Overview
Caden Cotard is a theater director slowly losing his grip on everything: his health, his marriages, his sense of time. His response is to build an exact, ever-expanding replica of New York City inside a warehouse, populating it with actors playing versions of people he knows, including himself. Charlie Kaufman's directorial debut is an obsessive, mournful puzzle about mortality and artistic ambition, where the art project and the life it mirrors become impossible to tell apart.
