Overview
Nader and Simin want different things for their daughter, and that disagreement cracks open everything beneath their marriage. Simin has a visa and a plan to leave Iran. Nader refuses to abandon his father, whose Alzheimer's leaves him adrift in a vanishing present. What begins as a domestic dispute quietly expands into something far larger, drawing in caregivers, lawyers, and a legal system where every witness has a reason to bend the truth. Farhadi's film trusts its audience to sit with genuine moral discomfort.
